Cellphone camera fun..
Turn on your camera, grab a TV remote, point it at the camera and push a button... you can see the infrared beam on your phone screen. Great way to test a remote.
Pointless but something to WOW your friends with.

Re: Cellphone camera fun..
you can actually do that with a lot of digital cameras. most ccd's out there are very sensative to "near" infra red light. they utilize a mechanical filter to remove most it. on some cameras you can actually open it and remove it to take "x-ray" type near infra red pictures. thats how the sony night shot cameras were able to take pictures through certain types of cloth, because near infra red light isnt reflected in the same way as visible light. its a much longer wavelength and therefore can actually penetrate some surfaces that reflect visible light. you can actually find a lot about it on the net.

Hellooooooo..... This is old news...
Haven't you ever videotaped yourself and then pressed the remote control zoom button to get a better view of the action... THE WITNESS WILL STRIKE THAT FROM THE RECORD. As you were! Wow... This is neat. p. |
