Question regarding sliding mechanism

Greetings! This is my first post on this forum (it's awfully nice, btw).
I'm currently using a Q and a BB 8830, and in the motions of obtaining a (Alltel) 6800 due to it's process. pwr. I've used the search function but have not found the answer to this question:
Is the slide going to become sloppy should the unit be subjected to several open/close motions a day?
I know it's been designed to be in use, but this is my only worry.

it feels very solid. have you ever messed with the PPC 6700? the slide on the 6800 feels better to me. and it is spring loaded. it is nice.

I open my a few hundred times a day. Seems good so far, but what do I know, I am only in my first week. My 6700(s) never had a slide issue. Other issues commonly arose though.

Seperate note, my "record" button is depressed. It is as though the case flexed. I am going to disassemble it and correct the issue.

I open and close mine all the time (and not very gently). Seems to be fine now, but I've only had it for two months.

I have had mine since about 2 weeks after they first came out, open and close the thing like a nervous tick all day long, still feels and operates like it did when it was new.
