Need some advice - WM6 Titan Upgrade (Telecom, NZ)

Hi there,

I have been looking round on the forums for a while now.
I just need to know how to update my Telecom HTC Titan from WM5 to WM6.1.
I did find this thread..
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=9389&page=2
And have downloaded the link at the bottom of the page - but have NO idea what to do with it.
Can anyone help? Would be much appreciated!!

Re: Need some advice - WM6 Titan Upgrade (Telecom, NZ)

Ellipsis,

I PM'd you with the insructions to upgrade, what happened with those? It was made so that you dont have to go searching through all the forums. I gave you the specific instructions for a Telecom NZ user. Everyone that has pm'd me on XDA has successfully upgraded with the instructions given.

That link on that page is useless to you. It's for users downgrading back to the stock WM5 rom after being on WM6.1

Cheers

Steve

Re: Need some advice - WM6 Titan Upgrade (Telecom, NZ)

I have similar questions to Ellipsis, and am having difficulty finding all the answers.

I just bought a used Telecom NZ HTC Titan. It's still running WM5 and Radio 1.47.00. I want to upgrade it to at least WM6 and a GPS-capable Radio ROM.

I understand that the Radio ROM's are all carrier specific, and I can't find any updates from Telecom NZ. If I install a Radio ROM from another provider, will I lose connectivity?

I'm intending to use this device offline, so if that is the case I'm okay with that tradeoff, as long as there's a way to restore the original Radio ROM.

If this is possible and someone can suggest which guide to follow, and which ROM's to use, it'd be greatly appreciated.

Finally I'd like to thank everyone involved for all the work that's clearly been put into this already.

Michael
