Battery issues?

Are there battery issues with the Titan? My wife's Titan has been on the fritz lately. It doesn't seem to want to charge and when it does it's a bit flaky and doesn't seem to fully charge. She has to move the plug a bit to get the charge light to come on. And when it's low on battery it drops to just under the trigger to shut down the phone's radio without warning. Just wanted to get some more info before I dive into looking for a new battery or this is a reason to have to get her a new phone.

Re: Battery issues?

Prolly a bad usb port on your device. Take a good look at it and see if any of the contacts in there are dirty or bent or missing. I have heard these same issues on several devices. You really have to be gentle with that connector.

Re: Battery issues?

Try a different charger or usb cable. The originals are very cheap.

Re: Battery issues?

We have quite a few of them around. Car chargers, wall chargers, even the USB plug-in type...

I'll check the plug to make sure it's clear of funkyness. Otherwise I'll probably end up ordering a battery and hope that takes care of it.

Also check the battery contacts and clean with a pencil eraser.

Re: Battery issues?

Ok so after speaking to my wife she's given me more details on the problem. It seems the phone shows as charging and actually says it's fully charged but then only lasts a couple of hours without being used and without it being on.

I'm pinning this one on the battery. Searching eBay now...

Re: Battery issues?

I have the same issue on a refurbished unit and I've gotta tell ya. Save your money, I already bought a brand new battery (in the package) and it didnt help my mogul one bit.
