Items that can be deleted from startup folder?

Can htc_cm_guardain and ssdaemon be deleted from the startup folder with out any problems? I read somewhere elese (forgot where) about other users taking these out of startup to free up a little RAM. What are these files for? If they can be removed, are they just deleted or moved else where on the device?

htc_cm_guardian runs constantly and keeps the sprint network settings. if youre not going to screw them up, delete it.

sddaemon is for voice dialing. voice dialing works fine without it. i dont think we ever figured out what the point of having it in startup was in the first place.

id delete them both!

thanks for the input, now when i try and delete I can't. They are read only files on my device and I can not seem to change this. Any advice on how to delete? thanks

I wouldn't recommend deleting them. Just move them to a new folder such as StartUpOff

I went to delete htc_cm_guardain and ssdaemon as I have before on the previous rom and they are no longer in the startup folder. Are they being launched from somewhere else and can no longer be deleted?

Using Mogul rom 3.35
