noob: How to completly end program when done - not suspend

When I am done on most programs, and look for an End/Exit in the menu, I rarely see one. - So, I hit the X on the top right corner.

Later I find it running in the current running programs list.

How do I end a program at the moment and not have to go back and stop/all/kill in memory?

Search for HTC X-Button 1.5 in the software forum. You can also use a program like iLauncher found at www.sbsh.net or SPB Pocket Plus.

Another great program (what you're looking for is called a task manager) but I really like Magic Button and it's free. I like free.
