ppc 6800 stuck on cricket boot screen

A freind of mine who works for a verizon tech center said he would help me flash my ppc 6800 from qwest to cricket. In his words, he downloaded the unlocker from this site, then loaded a vcricketv rom. After it loaded, he attempted to turn it on and it froze up on the white cricket screen. After trying to correct it several times, he has failed and returned the phone to me in its "stuck" position. The active sync will not recognize it nor will the device boot far enough to recognize the card. I would really like to have my phone flashed, but am affraid he bricked it. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

Re: ppc 6800 stuck on cricket boot screen

try throwing it into boot-loader mode by holding the camera button, power button and the reset hole all at the same time, this should put it in boot-loader mode and your computer should be able to recognize it.

Re: ppc 6800 stuck on cricket boot screen

get it into tricolor screen by doing the above and find the correct cricket rom for that phone...shouldnt be a problem as long as you keep it plugged in....you will however hate battery life/ service they will both suck with cricket due to poor service the battery life will drain faster than ever on that phone
