EVDO Rev 0 and A don't support simultaneous voice and data. Sprint was originally going to implement EVDV instead of EVDO which would support this, but that's been scrapped. I haven't heard about Rev B, but I was under the impression we won't see simultaneous voice and data until WiMax.

Right, I forgot about EV-DV. My bad.
And no, Sprint isn't trying to ditch WiMax. Last word was that they were trying to get some additional funding through a partnership, but WiMax is well on its way to our laptops in test markets Q4 2007 or Q1 2008 |
