Mogul(Sprint): Sprite backup across WM6.0 & Wm 6.1?

Hi Guys,
I am finally thinking of upgrading my stock Sprint ROM (3.35) on Mogul to 3.56. I wanted to know if Sprite backup will work across these ROMs which have different WM versions. Otherwise I will have to install and configure everything all over again.

you might want to just back up your contacts and reinstall everything else. Sometimes your backup file can overwrite the things that are upgraded from 6.0 to 6.1. So it would be just like having 6.0 even though you upgraded to 6.1.

So basically you are advising against restoring settings from backup after OS upgrade?
