VX6800 and Tethering in Vista please help

I just got a new latop and i am trying to tether it. I would like to use Internet Sharing. I click connect and it says im connected, I check my settings to see if i have internet access. There is an X between the network (my cell phone) and the Internet. I then check status and there is information being sent and recieved.
