Power button woes

Hi, just got my 6800 today. I'm having an issue thats rather annoying.

When i use the power button on the side of the phone to shut off/turn on the phone, no matter what app i'm in, it will take me back to the home screen.

So say i'm in IE and i turn the phone off, when i hit that button again, it will return me to the home screen.

Very annoying if you're writing an email and just need to shut the phone off for a minute and want to come back to it. I have hard reset, and it still did this right after the hard reset with no additional applications.

I've looked in the settings and see nothing mentioning this.

Please help! Thanks!

Any one else notice this?

I would thnk that this is by design, even if it is annoying. Hope someone can find the regedit for this.

Mine does not do this. When I power back on, everything is just as I left it including whatever app was in focus.

doesn't happen on mine either, what ever program I have running when I hit the power button is still on the screen when I hit it again.

Mine doesn't do it either. Try this: Go to Settings - Today and UN-check Today Timeout, that may fix it.

Well here is a new development. I shut off key lock. Then i used the windows button to turn it back on, did the same thing. Took me out of Word, back to home screen, then opened the start menu! What the heck!?
