Wondering about t9

So I've had my HTC Mogul on Sprint for about 2 months now and something has been bugging me. I can't email or text message using t9. I know, I know, I have a keyboard, but thats not helpful when I need to tack something out quick in the car. A friend has a Touch which has t9 within the TouchFLO gui, and I was wondering if there was a program out there that would integrate t9 into text and email. Thanks for your help!

why would you want t9? you can't have t9.. what would you text with, the touch screen dial pad? wouldn't work very well..

its pretty pointless.. type in any word in t9 on a reg phone.. takes 5 keystrokes.. type it on the keyboard, still 5 keystrokes .. any word would be the same way.. its not any shorter to text with t9.. and word prediction is the same on both too..

so id say its not even possible because you can't use your dialer to text and you numbers on the key board are only linked to a single letter not 3..

I've seen t9 on a touch that uses the dialer on the touchscreen and it works decent. I just find it hard to use the keyboard with one hand while keeping te other hand on the wheel. I also know I should not use the phone while driving but it just makes it so damn convenient.

Try the gullum Touch Diamond KB. I use that in portrait T-9 mode 95% of the time in my titan/mogul. I can absolutely fly with that KB, I can't remember the last time I slid out the hardware setup......

Also TouchPal has the T9 option.

+1 for Gullum, I've been using it and LOVE it.

Just download the diamond keys and then the language pack you want and you're good to go

Thanks for the link. I used to have it cooked into my ROM. But they made me move computers at work and I had to reinstall Build OS, and now when I make my rom's the diamond keyboard doesnt work. Oh well at least ive got the link now!
