i have tried every theme color and i can't fix this anyone have any ideas?

dunno how to fix that, but that sure is a nifty dialer. I'm diggin the opal canvas with the black skin right now.

If you un-install the dialer soft-reset then reload the dialer is it still there?

That black box is due to the re-skinning of the dialer. Paul was trying to get rid of it. Maybe there is an update for the dialer?
