Smile Manilla 2D Touch Flo on Titan

I have just installed it on my Titan (Sprint Mogul). It runs fairly well, but it saps away from my RAM. If I don't use the internet screen/music/picture screen my RAM stays at about 18-20MBs (although I am using the official 6.1 ROM). If I scroll over those tabs, it drops down to approximately 10-14MBs.
But it looks good, and scrolls around fairly well.

For those of you that want to try it out: http://rs462.rapidshare.com/files/14...M2D_FOLDER.zip

AND DO NOT INSTALL THE NEW CAMERA DRIVER, IT WILL KILL YOUR CAMERA!

Have fun guys!

Re: Manilla 2D Touch Flo on Titan

Yea, I used it for a while in one of the verizon XV6800's (Titan) I own (I have 3 of them). I cooked it into a ROM & all the functions worked perfectly (Opera, youtube etc)

It is kinda cool eye candy, but after the novelty wore off I realized it wasn't for me. It really is an outrageous memory hog with all the features enabled (& if they're not, what's the point) & it did crash occasionally.

My biggest gripe however is, I have a ton of home screen plug-ins that I use at times (I enable or disable them for different situations, I use GPS Today & GPS Toggle when travelling for instance. When you use TF, you cannot use ANY of the other plug-ins.....

Try using the program floating around called Manila 2D Config. It can cut some of that RAM usage on tabs you don't use.

I like having 90% of the things I use on a daily basis easily accessible. There are a few Today plugins like GPSToday that I do like to also use occasionally, but for all of those I use SecondToday.

Re: Manilla 2D Touch Flo on Titan

I have searched high and low all day and can figure out why I get permission errors when I install the engine.

I have tried hard reset, soft reset.

I have plenty of space left.

I am running Nuerom3 latest build if that helps.

Thanks

Re: Manilla 2D Touch Flo on Titan

About the easiest way is to flash a TouchFLO 2D ROM like this one: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread...highlight=mega

Or you can add it cab by cab.

Also look into using the M2D Customizer to disable tabs to free up RAM.
