Re: Roaming Only - Again

One thing that may help is flashing a new radio. Look in the Titan Upgrades section for GaMedic's flashing howto, and do the steps for a radio upgrade and flash to 3.42.50. It improved my reception a bit and may help your problem.

The Registry Edit Fix works very well. I do that every time I load a custom Rom. I printed the page with the info. to a pdf file... I will attach it..

Your PDF file says to create the same settings in HKLM\SOFTWARE\OEM\InitProv\PhoneSetting. I have those settings on my Mogul in both places, but still have never been able to find a signal when I set Roaming on.

Re: Roaming Only - Again

Well, it is my pdf file, but as you can see, all I did was print a page from a thread somewhere here. I was posted the file for convienence..

BUT, I can attest like many here, that the roaming fix via the registry edit DOES work.. You may have a problem with your radio, so I would try reflashing that.

I am lucky to have 1 bar inside my house when set to automatic, and it is impossible to use the phone and do a conversation... as soon as I go into settings and hit "roaming only", I get full signal, because there is a Verizon tower within direct site of my house.

You probably have something else going on here. The registry fix does do what it is supposed to do, and you have to put in a couple of things in two different areas of the registry.

Good Luck!!!
