That happens to me occasionally, but only since I installed the Palm text messaging software. Before that it never happened, even text messages I had deleted are re-delivered as if I hadn't opened them.

It could be a network issue. If you are out of coverage or roaming, it's possible that the messages are not being delivered until you are back in coverage or on network. I have experienced that in the past. If you ARE in coverage, I don't really have any suggestions. Good luck!

Oddly enough my PPC6800 used to do this before the 3.35 Alltel update. Can you flash a newer Verizon ROM if there was one released between like April and August?

This happens to me as well, but even when I'm not roaming. The up-side with the Mogul over my Q is that at least the Mogul will show the actual time the text was sent (confirmed this with friends) whereas the Q would show the time it finally got to my device.
