XV-6800 Lotus Notes Issue

I have not been able to find an answer to my question on here, so here's my post. I have a 6800 and my work email is Lotus Notes. I want to be able to check my email via my PPC. We have the ability to check our email through either the web or through the Lotus Notes application that we have loaded on our work computer. I can access my email via internet on my ppc, but I can't get the domino applet to load so that I can reply to the emails. Furthermore, I would prefer to have an application applied to my ppc so that I don't have to keep refreshing my internet browser to check my email. Our internet department will only allow access through issued Blackberries, but since I'm low on the totem pole, I don't get issued one. If anyone has any ideas/suggestions, I would be most appreciative.

Thanks!

I also have Lotus notes through work. I use Seven Beta and it works flawlessly.

Does Seven push email from your desktop to your ppc? If so, I can't load it on my computer due to Administrator right son the computer. We can't add any other programs. I need something that I can just download to my ppc to use to check email.

Yes it does, you have to install a client on your PC. Do they allow you to install the Lotus client on your home computer. Here they do. That would be a way around that. Just install on your home PC and leave it running.

Just a thought

Unfortunately they do not allow us to put it on our home computer. Wish they would. It would make it a lot easier. Thanks for the reply!

Re: XV-6800 Lotus Notes Issue

Last year I went through the same process you are going through right now. Exactly the same issues except I did have the option to install Seven on my PC. My problem was that my PC is a laptop and it was not always on the network. Our company allows us to use mNotes which I now use to sync email, calender and contacts while I am at my desktop.

This is not the answer you are looking for I am sure. I did find in the last year that is was not as important for me to have immediate access to my email as I had thought.

Good luck on your search.
