Question questions about "Tracking Down Memory Leaks"

What are some ways to track down memory leaks.
I had one, the only ways I can think of are:
1.Hard Reset and slowly reinstall every app, one by one,
with ample wait time between each.
2. Remove apps one by one, wait and see, until it's gone.

Is there any way other than these two to spot a leak?
What do you look for.

I use Mem Maid, Resco and Pocket Mechanic as resources.

Angry Re: questions about "Tracking Down Memory Leaks"

I was tired with the memory leak issue. I hard reset last night and only program I have installed is tomtom and set only one email (hotmail)account. no difference. I still see 65% memory in use once i open and close email, IE!

Re: questions about "Tracking Down Memory Leaks"

The only thing I've found to monitor what's using memory is mem-maid, but it's limited.

Re: questions about "Tracking Down Memory Leaks"

i definitely know iContacts memory leaks like none other, sometimes even ActiveSync memory leaks too though. The plus side is that if i leave iContacts on for a while and I close it it'll clear most of the free RAM out. Usually when I start up my phone I have anywhere between 55-65% free RAM, but throughout the day I get up to 75% usage with nothing running. Closing iContacts after my memory is at like 99% clears the RAM back down to 55-60%
