Does this happen to you?

You guys are going to hate me, I know, but I have an issue when I connect my HTC connecter to my phone to run the radio in the car. Basically what happens is, when I plug it in, it plays, for a bit. Then today Voice Dial would come up repeatedly, and when I turned that off, it would auto call my last call. It still randomly calls my last number when I attempt to listen to music on my phone connecting it through the connector. I would turn flight on, but when it places that call, and cuts the music off, it doesn't go back to it through the wire, but when I pull it, it plays on the phone. Won't even play anything through when connected, after this issue happens.. I've already tested my ear buds to see if it was an issue with the USB.
Anyone have any ideas?
I'm running the newest ROM, stock. Haven't had this issue before, on my previous Moguls, nor this on up until recently. I already hard booted this a few times. I'm out of ideas before I go to sprint and start complaining again. I just want to avoid putting all my apps back on, and just listen to my music. lol
I'm using HTC home with the media player if that helps any. (The HTC Player, that works with the home.)

**Edit here**
I forgot to mention, that when I soft reset, it fixes the issue for the same amount of time, then starts in. Or sometimes it won't even put sound through the cord. Thanks in advance for anything you guys can offer.

The stock headphones have a mic and a voice dial button built in. Your adapter is making a short across that circuit, which acts as intermittently pressing the voice/dial button on a headset. You need a special 4 pole adapter (headSET) rather than a standard 3 (headPHONES)... I've had the same exact problem. lol

Re: Does this happen to you?

I have a similar problem with my Jabra Klipsch speakers. I can hook my ipod up to it fine, any other phone as well, but my touch WILL NOT work with it at all and i am assuming a mogul wouldn't work either

I only connect the stock head phones to see if it was my USB port that was messing up, or it was the connector. I'm using the adapter that comes with the phone to connect a normal headphone jack, if you would buy a cord to put in between the adaptor and the actual normal sized headphone jack. I'm using it to listen to music through my AUX port on my cd player..

Re: Does this happen to you?

No. I bought it from Radio Shack. It's a female end, and a male. The male connects in the adapter, and the female goes to the other cord that is a double male that is normal sized headphone jacks. If that makes much sense.

I purchased the same adaptor. The problem is that it is designed for standard stereo headphones. It has 3 poles... One common, one for the left audio, and one for the right. Your output on your HTC usb to headphones adaptor has 4 poles... One common, one left, one right, and one for the microphone. A direct short from common to the microphone is equivalent to pushing the voice dial button. What you need is the same adaptor, but 4 pole on the male end.

Re: Does this happen to you?

They are correct about the 3poles 4poles. I've had the same issue with several adaptors I've tried. You need to invest in something like these. The 2nd one is what I use in my car since it has the charger port on it also. Both have microphones so you can use either of them for making calls also using your stereo speaker as audio output.
