Sounds & Notifications getting turned off!

Okay, I have a pretty serious problem (for me) right now. The "Play Sound" and "Vibrate" options for "New text message" and "New e-mail message" keep getting automatically turned off. I can check the "Play sound" and "Vibrate" options and they seem to work for a little while, but shortly get turned back off.

This is very critical for me as I am now on-call for work and need to respond to pages within 10 minutes.

I've searched this forum and others and have not found a solution to my problem. What could be causing this issue?

Here is my setup:

-Sprint Mogul with the latest official HTC/Sprint ROM
-Winterface shell with communications suite (SMS-Chat, Fun-Contacts, etc)

My next step is to un-install the VITO (Winterface, SMS-Chat, etc...) stuff and see if they are the culprit. Before I do that though, I wanted to post this to see if there was an easier fix.

I would uninstall just Winterface and try that.
I have SMS-Chat and Eye-Photo (even when I had my mogul I had those two) and never have that problem.

What all other apps are you running?

mine has been doin the same lately ever since i updated to the new rom. Let me know if you can fix it

Do you have the new Opera 9.5 beta? Every time I close opera the same thing happens to my phone. It happened on the newest sprint official rom and DCD 3.2.3. I believe I've read that its a known bug for opera.

That was my question too, it seems that several people have found Opera to be the culprit.

if your running the leaked version of Opera make sure you change to the latest fixed version.. It has causes the same issue and has been fixed.

My father has had the same problem with his phone, even hard resetted and installed hardly anything on the phone to find out the cause yet every now and then, a message comes in with no alert. soft reset, then it works but eventually fails again.
Definitely interested in a solution if anyone discovers it.
