question about compatability

i was thinking about getting a macbook, to replace my current and extremely old pc. the problem is my phone is the htc mogul. if i get a mac, will things like activesync or PDAnet work?

activesnyc will not, ive never used pdanet but if it uses a usb connection to connect your ppc and macbook then it wont work. I have used BT pan with a mac and that works for tethering.
