Aluminum cases?

anybody use these cases?? I just paid a 95 dollar deductible cause I dropped mine and cracked the screen. This case seems like it would work very well to prevent this from happening again.

discuss please....

Re: Aluminum cases?

that covers the screen with plexiglass so you can't use it without opening it - just an fyi....

also, if you want shock protection, metal might not be the best choice - check out seido for a rubberized case....

Re: Aluminum cases?

I am not really worried about having to open the case. I have become pretty good at using the wheel and buttons. those seido cases are expensive... they say the aluminum has neoprene or a foam type material inside... I guess I am interested in the latches. I thought I read somewhere that the latches arent so secure

Re: Aluminum cases?

Did your phone come with a stock case? I have one from my Alltel phone and it works great.

Thumbs up Re: Aluminum cases?

I had one for my ppc-6700 & now have one for my ppc-6800. I would have to say that the metal case has saved my phone a number of times.

I was walking down a sidewalk one day (using the phone); & a person RAN out of a door & slammed right into me. The phone hit the ground; & another person walking down the sidewalk accidentally kicked the phone half way down the block! When I ran to get the phone, the call was still on; & there was not a scratch on the phone! The case had a few scratches; but I can live with that! If I hadnt had the metal case, the phone would have been destroyed.
