Sending and Receiving SMS messages from PC

I apologize if this has been brought up before, but I'm looking for a good app that can sync SMS messages from my phone and enables me to send and receive SMS messages from a laptop while my Titan is connected. As nice as it is to have a keyboard on my phone on the road, it's still irritating to have to compose and read SMS messages on my phone when i'm sitting with it connected to my laptop.

http://www.dashwire.com

You can send text messages from you pc (as well as view photos, videos, contacts, call history, etc) all without even having your phone plugged into your laptop

You can also try Jeyo Mobil Companion. It's a nice program for syncing, backing up etc... I use this but they also have an Outlook plugin if you prefer that.

Re: Sending and Receiving SMS messages from PC

Yeah, I use dashwire too. There's a hiccup here and there, and it doesnt yet support splitting long messages, but over all it's pretty badass. BluePhone Elite was really nice but its client app slowed my phone to the point of being unusable. The Dashwire client is really nice, barely notice its running.

I've gotten into a bad habit of forgetting my phone at home some days when I commute to my job in a different city, so this lets me keep up with calls and texting just as if the phone was in my pocket.

Soti Pocket Controller is a great application.

MyMoblier is a free alternative to Soti Pocket Controller. Both of these options will only work if you are connected in active sync mode.

Re: Sending and Receiving SMS messages from PC

Just a quick note about text messages: We recently debuted a sweet "conversation" feature that allows you to see sent and recieved text messages in a threaded sms format (iphone and aim users will recognize this). Much easier to keep track of whats been said. Just keeping up to date

Are you using the latest Dashwire Mobile client (http://m.dashwire.com)? Are you running WinMo 6.1 and want to try our latest release (http://m.dashwire.com/beta)?

The conversation feature is odd for me since it doesnt always seem to match the texts in the pane below it. However, what I could REALLY use, for a project I'm working on, is an RSS feed of messages. Any plans for that?

An RSS feed of messages is an interesting thought. Not something that we had really been considering. I'll share it with the team and see what we think about it.

The conversation function should be matching up with the messages you send and recieve. If something isn't working just right then we need to take a look at it. If you want you can either detail it further here or send our dev team an email at feedback@dashwire.com
