Password Lock

Does anyone know of any program that will lock the screen and use a password much like the one that is in the system for WM?

I noticed my phone starts up much faster when I turn the stock lock off and it doesn't even boot up fully until the password has been entered (example of this is programs in the startup folder haven't run etc....). I noticed this on WM5, WM6, and now WM6.1. My idea is for a new application to run in the background as a service that is loaded in the startup folder, it would be even better if it was set to load last out of everything in the startup folder (you can change that setting in SKtools) so that the device will have fully loaded before the lock program has launched and locks. Plus the stock lock just seems sluggish and slow even if the PPC has already booted up and I think it sucks..lol

Does anyone have any ideas?
