choppy audio from speaker

I'm not sure the best way to explain this but I've been getting increasinly annoyed by it. I first noticed it with custom ringtones that I've added...when they first fire off when I get a call the first second or two almost studders. I also notice this when windows mobile first starts and makes its little startup noise and again is choppy / studders, but just for a second.

And now most recently, the voice navigation queues from iGuidance are again choppy at the start. For example, if it would say "in 500 feet, turn left" the word "in" doesn't come through completely, but the rest is fine.

I've seen this behavior with several different roms, including the most recent stock Sprint rom. I'm currently running no2chem 5059. I did some quick tests after a hard reset without any apps installed and am seeing the same thing. Also, this is using the built in speaker, I don't even have bluetooth turned on.

What I'm wondering is if this is something physically wrong with my phone hardware, or is it just nature of the beast with the Titans...

thanks!

Re: choppy audio from speaker

I had the same problem with my first titan and after sprint replaced it I havent had that problem since, my guess is that it was a hardware problem.

Re: choppy audio from speaker

That's what I was figuring based on the lack of posts regarding the subject. I figured if it was a common issue or a software problem there would be all kinds of people talking about it.

Thanks for replying!
