How to create LCD brightness shortcut ?

I would like to install application/shortcut similar to the
one I had in HTC Home plug in.
Pressing the icon changes the brightness of the LCD

Check out Metrix. It's free and has a backlight slider. Also, you can use commercial software like SBSH PhoneWeaver or SPB Pocket Plus 4
