Re: WHY Does our backlight have an OFF setting?
this feature has been part of lcd's life from the start. the main reason for this is power... lets say you want to listen to music but you also want your battery to last, you turn off the backlight. as far as the titan is concerned, i think the home plugin was the control for this. on the apache, you just held the power button and the backlight turned off.

Yea...but once you turn it off, you can't turn it back on again. Unless you plug in in to external power.

Re: WHY Does our backlight have an OFF setting?
If I set my backlight to the lowest setting it doesn't go completely dark. It only goes black if I use the screen toggle feature of Spb Pocket Plus, and the power button turns it back on.
