Sluggish Mogul...

Well I have had my mogul for a little over a week now and it's been a little painful... I've never had a smart phone that was so slow... The only things that I installed on the device was SPB Mobile Shell and it just ran terrible after 2 days of it just being on... I had to soft reset it atleast 4 times and it crashed and rebooted once.. It looked like it would run out of memory as my colors would all turn to white and it would take so long for it to do anything... I would get a phone call and it would take at least 4 attempts at pressing the talk button for it to actually answer the call..

To be honest I am about to throw in the towel and give up on WM devices I was just hoping it would work out as this appeared to be the best feature phone on the sprint lineup for SERO...

Re: Sluggish Mogul...

I'd bring it back and have them exchange it. If those are the only apps you installed then something else is wrong. Especially the part about the colors changing...

Mine is snappy and quite responsive, especially for a WM device, and I've got tons of apps running.

Re: Sluggish Mogul...

I think it is time you tried a dcd ROM.

Or no2chem, but I like dcds customizations. Just make sure you read up and follow directions. I say upgrade to the latest HTC ROM (3.35), lock with the hard spl, then install dcd 3.0.0. Instructions on all of these steps can be found in the upgrade forum in good detail. Here is a link to dcd's 3.0.0. You will not be disappointed. Have fun.

At bootup, I think right around 20-22 for a stock rom, but WM6 leaks badly, and the free ram goes down and down. WM6.1 (which is what dcd and no2chem roms are based on) is much better in this regard. I get 25.8 mb on boot with dcd3, And the leak is not so bad.

Re: Sluggish Mogul...

"There are currently issues loading the radio" does this mean cell radio?

Re: Sluggish Mogul...

Yes, it means the latest radio ROM from the new sprint ROM. The problems they were having were just those who were running 2.3.2 and trying to run the ROM updater to update the radio. You will not run into this problem if you take the steps I listed above because when you upgrade to the latest sprint ROM, that will update the radio. Then you install the dcd ROM and all is good. I would not lead you astray.
