Phone won't start-no bootloader

I'm definitely embarr***** to be posting this thread, but don't know what else to do right now. I have flashed many ROMS over the last few months but now I'm afraid my phone actually may be bricked. And yes I have searched for this in the forums but can not find the answer. I ended up loading the Titan relocker but for some reason my phone was wiped out and had no ROM or RADIO on it, so I reloaded the 3.27 Radio and it said it was successful. Now my phone will not turn on. I've removed the battery, switched batteries, plugged it in, tried to hard reset, tried to bring up the bootloader by pressing power, camera and soft reset to no avail. It just will not power on or display any screens. Any one have any idea what to try? Or is it truly dead? Thanks in advance.

Re: Phone won't start-no bootloader

Now I have a steady red light power light when I plug the phone into the USB. Still can't bring up any screen at all.

Thumbs down Re: Phone won't start-no bootloader

This happend to me last night. but the crazy part right when it happend a little bit of a burning smell and a tiny white smoke came out of the phone. the night before when i did the update on another phone i might add the signal kept going in and out and dropping and roaming all the time. I am on number 3 right now in 2 days and it is holding for the time being. fingers crossed. X

Re: Phone won't start-no bootloader

The computer recognizes that a device is attatched. I was even able to download "data connection" drivers for it. But activesync doesn't recognize it anymore. As far as I can tell, there really isn't much that can be done with it in this state.

From your story, you have a device that currently has no ROM, the bootloader for level 2.xx ROMs and 1.xx radios, and a level 3.xx radio.

I do not know if it will work, but since you have that bootloader, you could try flashing the official 2.17 ROM/Radio package, using the SD card method. If that does not work, the fastest thing might be to get Sprint to replace the device under the original one-year warranty.

Re: Phone won't start-no bootloader

Definitely sounds like he has no bootloader... if it had one the phone would turn on and display at least an error screen, but he is getting nothing. I doubt an sd flash would help, you need an unlocked bootloader on to do that.
