Re: backing up contacts WITHOUT activesync

There's a free app called PIMBackup http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=299705 that will backup your contacts, calendar and tasks and a few other things..

You can also use one of the apps that do a complete backup of the device (Sprite Backup or SPB Backup)

Re: backing up contacts WITHOUT activesync

I Would Definetly Would Try To Just Use Windows Live. It Syncs All Of Your Contacts To You Hotmail Act And Vice Versa If You Need To Add Them Back To Your Ph.

I just open file explorer and go to the root folder,, and copy pim.vol to my sd card,, then after hard reset,, just go back to the root folder and rename the pim.vol in that directory to anything you want,, then copy the one from your sd card back to that location,,, reboot phone,, then you can delete the one you renamed,,,

Dont think this will keep your messages ,,, but it will work for your contacts...
