Wireless Sync Users - New Email Alert

Here's the problem, if I set notication to just new email and not notify when new data received via sync no alert happens. I have to set it in the wireless sync control panel and set it to notify me when new data recevied. So it's annoying as it basically tells me whenever it sync's vs. when I just have new mail. Anyone else find a work around for this?

What rom are you using?

the stock everything, until I find a rom that improves bt performance

I think that this is your problem (please next time try to be more descriptive) .
You DON'T have a Data plan or you are blocking it
You are using WiFi
You are using active sync to get your email
You get an error msg saying basicly you can't connect to vision services (providers data plan)

The only way I was able to stop this is using a registry editor. you can get one by going here http://www.phm.lu/Products/PocketPC/RegEdit/.

Now this is at your own risk only do this if you know what you are doing.

Install registy editor
Open it
change

From
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\ConnMgr\Providers\{7C4B7A3 8-5FF7-4bc1-80F6-5DA7870BB1AA}\Connections\Sprint PCS]
"Enabled"=dword:00000001

to
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\ConnMgr\Providers\{7C4B7A3 8-5FF7-4bc1-80F6-5DA7870BB1AA}\Connections\Sprint PCS]
"Enabled"=dword:00000000

If you can change the title of this to something like "Error using WiFi without data plan" anyways hope this helps.

One problem I just founf with using WiFi is that it turns itself off when your phone is sleep. I'll let you know if I find a fix for this.
