Active Sync

HI GEEKs,

I AM NEW TO THE SITE. HAVE OWNED VERIZON 6600-6700 NOW I AM
ON THE 6800. ALL THE OTHER DEVICES I HAD NO ISSUES WITH ACTIVE
SYNC. I USE THE SAME COMP AND THE ACTIVE SYNC THAT COMES WITH
THE PHONES EVEN D/L FROM MS.

TO THE POINT HOW IN THE HECK DO I GET WINDOWS TO READ IT?
I FALLOW THE STEPS AND IT WILL SHOW UP IN MY COMP, BUT A.S
WONT READ IT, AND THEN A LIL WINDOW POPS UP (LOWER RIGHT
CORNER) STATING CAN FIND DRIVER OR ISSUE LIKE THAT.

PLZ HELP ME, HAVE NO MEM CARD YET SO ITS KILLING ME

P4 3.0GHZ HT
2GB RAM

SHOULD NOT BE AN ISSUE.

What version activesync? 4.5?
If it's not 4.5, upgrade to 4.5, lather, rinse, repeat

LMAO GUESS A.S VERSION WOULD BE HELPFUL. THE VERSION CURRENTLY
USING IS 4.5 WHICH CAME WITH THE PHONE AND I EVEN RE D/L IT FROM
MICROSOFT. ITS STRANGE BECAUSE ITS THE SAME VERSION FOR THE 6700
AND WORKED FINE BUT IT DOES NOT EVEN LIKE THE 6800.

i d/l the drivers and didnt know how to install them, i went to device manager
and found the phone there with error, so i clicked update driver and selected
the folder and nothing. didnt work (yes its unzipped). i also used the unistall
utility that came in the pack of drivers and error came up missing file.
C:\WINDOWS\System32\FTDIUN2K.INI

ill look further into the problem, if i cant find anything ill jus wait till
i get the memory card.

On the phone go to start, settings, connections, usb to pc and uncheck the box. Try to connect now, it should work.

Maybe you can change the file name of that driver and it'll work...
