Problem with today screen not updating unless a reset

Haven't had my Mogul long, 2 weeks or so, but I am having problems with my today screen. Here is what I have installed, the latest Sprint ROM 2.17 I think, Kaiser HTC Home 2.0, big button dialer skin, slide to lock. Problem I am having, is that is I change, say the today screen background, the change does not show up until I reset the phone. Same happens if I add something to the today screen, like date etc. I do not know what is causing this. The only thing I did do besides the above, was to unlock the phone to try JD's custom rom, which seems to caused lockups for me. Any ideas?

i dont think this would make a difference, but are your new backgrounds/themes on your sd card? sometimes putting stuff on the sd card makes your phone bug out.

No they are on the Mogul itself. I did a re-flash of the 2.17 ROM last nite, and slowly started installing all of the programs. I have everything installed except the HTC home plugin, and the today screen works fine, so I suspect that is the culprit. I really liked that plugin though, used it fine on my 6700.

Well, not all is well. Today, it started doing the same thing. Anything I change on my Today screen does not take effect untill I reset the Mogul. Also, a friend of mine is running the same programs as I am, including the HTC Home plugin, and is not having this problem. The only thing I did was installed the unlocker to try JD's rom. Do you think that could've somehow caused this? I have re-flashed the stock Sprint 2.17 ROM twice now, but it hasn't helped.

Actually, come to think of it...no. and I always did that on my Apache after a re-flash.

I'll try it again and see how it goes!
