Angry Calls/texts don't come in in standby?

Okay, this is a completely new problem and it's really pissing me off.

Suddenly, and not always, my phone will NOT alert me to a phone call or text message until I either turn my phone on from standby, or until some sort of alert (like a Task reminder) causes it to turn on. Then suddenly the text message alert or ringtone will start for a half-second and shut off and I'll get the text message and/or alert of a missed call (with a time of that exact minute).

Has anyone else had this happen, and do you know what the cause is? I'm running 2.17 which I flashed to at the beginning of last week.

Just to add to what Turbo said:

Does SPB Phone Suite remedy this at all?

not sure what the cause of the problem is but it's been prevalent on the touch - there's a huge thread over there in that forum. Maybe you can find out some information there.

Have you updated to 2.17 and did a hard reset? I was having the same problem after I went to 2.17, but didn't do a hard reset. After I did a hard reset, it has been working fine.

Nobody's been receiving my text messages for the last few days, either. This is really bad.

I'll try uninstalling Google Maps. I remember seeing your thread on that now. Worth a shot, although I do need that software.

Well, that didn't help my text messaging problem any, so I just hard reset it. Let's see what that does for me.

I need google maps too, it's a very useful ap! It does not play nice with my mogul though. Since uninstall the phone works again no missed calls or texts. Seems a very tempermental beast this mogul, no?

Overall I've had relatively few problems with the Mogul, but yes, it is quite temperamental. I just wish they could work out these memory issues. The rest will fall into place.

You think the missed calls thing is a memory issue? It is possible but then would probably happen as the "in use mem" climbed to a certain point and would be reproducible no?
