You should be able to switch phones, but you will need a third line to make the call with. I recently just did this and it went very smoothly once I found someone who was fluent in English.

So I won't need a a 3rd "dummy" phone and there's no time limit I have to have the other phone activated? I heard something about a 15 day policy but don't remember what it was regarding. |

If you have a SERO account, the only number to call, for ANYTHING related to your account (unless you need to talk to retentions) is the Employee Customer Care # - (88 603-7981. I have added lines and ported 6 numbers using that number and it is the only way to go. You will get an english speaker (based in NM I believe) and will have little or no wait time. A live person picks the phone up 90 percent of the time when I have called. Dealing with *2 will likely end up with a screwed up account.

I just got off the phone with Sprint. Flawless transaction! I switched over my mogul from my $100+ a month account to the SERO. I kept my old contract and just downgraded the plan to basic 200 for 29.99 with no data, text, etc since my mom wouldn't use any of that (hardly is gonna use the phone lol). I still saved ALOT of money by doig this. I wish I would have known about SERO before I renewed my contract in January! Thanks for all the help guys!
The plan I used to have was: $49.99 300 w/ unlimited Incoming (ported from my days with Nextel) Data - $15.00 Texting - $15.00 (another Nextel port...now unlimited texts are $10) Insurance - $7 My bill would be around $87.00+ tax (which is like $16.00 WTF!?)
