Need Help With Office Mobile

When ever I go to open Word Mobile, I get an error that states: An error occured. The document could not be opened.

Does anyone have any info or advise?

This happened to me when I installed the newer office version, and I had to open the word program and then open the file from the list and not from file explorer, but once I had did this it worked fine..

Some of the template files are installed as hidden files (dunno if it's a bug or what), and Word complains about that. I think when you manually open them afterwards it changes that flag so that Word will recognize them again.

As Darkness said, once I opened them from the file list instead of Explorer, the error went away.

The problem is, that as soon as I open office it says that

Did you try to upgrade to Office 6.1, there is a thread about it over at XDA

I looked into 6.1 but from what I read, it only helps windows mobile device center for Vista. also I can open files already saved, I cannot open and create a new file

Couldn't hurt to try it. I can upload the cab if you want. Just do a backup first

If someone could upload their "templates" folder for GG, he'd be set. The missing template/s is what causes the error.

Although what DK231 said, could help, as it would write new templates in Office Mobile along with other goodies.

Here are the Template folders from My Documents on the device, there is the original(OEM) and the ones from the Office 2007 cab. Hope it helps
