no hack needed. just goto clocks and alarms menu in settings, and then goto the 3rd tab, and uncheck the box, that will stop the clock from showing up in the top taskbar.

I bet he is talking about on the today screen. Turning it off with the above method will not remove it from the titlebar on the today screen.

If you're using HTC Home, get the HTC Home Customizer, go to Options, and disable Titlebar Clock.

I don't know how to get rid of it otherwise.

*edit*
Found another way:
[HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell\]
"ShowTitleBarClock"=1 (enable)
"ShowTitleBarClock"=0 (disable)

If this key is not there, create a new DWORD key with the name ShowTitleBarClock and set the appropriate value.

I think you can have either the clock or the battery. I don't know of a way to get rid of both and my SEARCHes didn't yield anything useful. I'll check around a bit more however.

btw I changed usernames as this is what I use on other PPC forums :P

Check it out:
Remove Icons from the Taskbar
To Remove Battery:
HKLM\services\power\ShowIcon === change from 1 to 0 (zero).

That only remove the battery icon from the today screen. The icon on the taskbar is still there. Its annoying when you have both the default and quickmenu. Personally I prefer the quickmenu for the battery and memory displays.

I did the reg edit to remove the titlebar clock. However, when i slide the keyboard out and the clock reappears. I don't remember this happening on 2.09. Maybe this is an issue with 2.17?
