voicemail shortcut balloon on taskbar icon?

On my PPC-6600 (WM2003SE) if I had a voicemail, and the icon was up top on the taskbar, when I tapped it, it popped up a balloon with the option to dial voicemail. On the Mogul, the icon just sits there and pisses me off, it wont give me an option to dial right to voicemail. Anything that can be done to fix that? It gets annoying having to bring up my call history to find the last time I checked voicemail.

I tried a search, didnt really find anything.
