Phone waking up on its own, Can this be fixed with custom roms?

I just flashed to DCD's rom and its great so far but still have problem with phone waking up on its own. Can this issue be fixed with custom rom?

Make sure there are no programs that are waking your phone up.. push email.. or incoming text messages. How long does it take to come on.. or is it more random?

Its more random. They had this same exact problem in 6700 also. I have nothing running in background.

I'll tell ya.. I had a 6700 before I upgraded to the Mogul.. and the EVDO always on hack caused my phone to turn on randomly... have you done that? Havn't tried EVDO always on with Mogul yet.

nope, even if i hard reset and leave it complete stock, it still wakes up

it seems like every pda i ever had did that! even my wak @$$ motorola Q! my 6700 did it and now my mogul does it too! I dont think its a problem! like that one guy said its probably just a program waking it up! like push email text IM or something but i dont know! One guy at the sprint store said it does that when it finds a new tower but he was an idiot!

Ok everyone... please remember to search before creating a new thread.

This issue has been around and discussed many, many times. It has nothing to do with apps or ROMs.

It is the way that the device is designed. The device will wake up every time it goes in/out of service and in/out of roaming.

I'll take a guess and say the only way to fix this is to create a custom Radio, but don't know if this can be done at all.
