Re: Screen Not Dimming With Auto Shut Off Disabled?
So you've gone into All Settings on the Settings Tab, System, then Power and under Advanced unchecked "Turn off device if not used for..." option under battery power, and set the backlight to go off after "X" amount of time?

Re: Screen Not Dimming With Auto Shut Off Disabled?
Thanks for the quick reply.
That is correct. Dimming is enabled, "turn device off" is disabled. With these settings, the screen will dim but not all the way. Obviously, this has a negative effect on battery life. With both enabled, the native TF3D media player will continue to function when the device goes into partial shutdown (lock). It seems that Groovefish (and who knows what other 3rd party apps) shuts off with the phone. Ideally, I'd like the screen to dim all the way down but not go into that partial shut down mode. Cheers! |

Re: Screen Not Dimming With Auto Shut Off Disabled?
I posted a possible solution on your XDA-Developers post, see if that app helps you out.
Referring to using xdaShutdown to go into "lightsout" mode rather than Sleep to shut the screen all the way off, but still be "awake" for the app to run. |
