new to the Imagio (from diamond)

thinking of switching over from my diamond to the Imagio (or TP2 possibly but afraid it will be to thick)...
was curious if anyone finds it a pain that the phone lacks a D-Pad?
i find my self using it alot on the diamond, mainly for editing text...
thanx
Danny

Re: new to the Imagio (from diamond)

I had the TP and thought the same thing when I switched. The Imagio is by far the best smart phone I have had. Took a little getting use to but I like it.

Re: new to the Imagio (from diamond)

I thought the diamond had one of the all time worst d pad for good feedback. That said tho it was better than none at all. I eventually got used to no d pad on my imagio. On my tp2 I find myself sliding out the kb to use the directional arrows.
The imagio is an awesome phone. I think you'll grow to love it.

Re: new to the Imagio (from diamond)

I had a Diamond also and don't miss a thing about it since I got the Imagio.
You can do so much more with this phone - give it a test drive.

Re: new to the Imagio (from diamond)

Imagio is the awesome phone that nobody knows about and I like it that way (Thanks Verizon). Everytime I pull out my phone everyone asks what kind of phone is it and where can they get it.

You won't disappointed !!!!

and thanks to all great people here at PPCGeeks it just keeps on getting better

Re: new to the Imagio (from diamond)

the d-pad is not missed and would be pretty much pointless and waste space. the onscreen keyboard has dedicated arrow keys fwiw. imagio is a great phone, too bad it's a verizon exclusive as that hurts it's popularity/exposure.

Re: new to the Imagio (from diamond)

Yeah, the dedicated arrows on the on-screen keyboard are a big help, and since I don't really game much I don't miss a d-pad. Just be careful with the arrows when typing an email or text message, they can not only move your cursor but also change the currently selected text to the next option. This is an exceptional piece of hardware that I really enjoy using.

Oh, and while the media player is not the most full-featured, the sound through a good set of earbuds is excellent.
