Re: SPB Mobile shell 3.5

3.5 works fine for me but I have been getting out of memory errors when opening web pages in Outlook, Opera and Iris.

Re: SPB Mobile shell 3.5

I bought it today. No problem with the installation. I am using Vista though, not Windows 7 FWIW. I figured out layouts pretty quick. I also use the app changeScreen for rotation. Works perfectly!!! You need to rearrange your icons but it saves each setting based on the rotation.

Swype works seemlessly although I don't use SIPChanger so I need to change my keyboard back to swype if I restart my phone.

This phone just gets better and better.

Re: SPB Mobile shell 3.5

I have tried SPB a few times, but the phone becomes unusable after I install it. Nothing wants to open and I have to use ActiveSync to uninstall it, because I cannot get into my settings. Any ideas?

Re: SPB Mobile shell 3.5

I've been using MS 3.5.2 for a couple of weeks now and almost everything works just fine. The only problem I've encountered is that once I installed it, the proximity sensor doesn't turn the touch screen off when I place it next to my face.

Re: SPB Mobile shell 3.5

Since it was on sale at 50% off, I just purchased it and installed it about 30 min ago. The one thing that I see as a bad thing is that the "LOCK" has been removed from the display. I had made that a total habbit, anytime I used the phone and I was done, I would bang the word "LOCK" on the lower right corner and drop it in my pocket. It was fast and did not hinder me. Now it appears that with Mobile Shell, you have no choice but to hold the power key and choose "LOCK" in the menu. It's not the end of the world, but they should have made it a widget or something that you could place on each tile of the selectable screens. That would make it so much better!

Am I missing something, is there a widget or a way to get back the simple and fast lock feature?

Re: SPB Mobile shell 3.5

Larry,

I did the same thing .. So I just put the lock icon in the launch bar.. at the bottom right .. its not the same as the soft key.. but its close to the same location. Works fine for me

Re: SPB Mobile shell 3.5

There are widgets you can place on any of your desktops.
Select the right soft key --> Add Widget --> Shortcut --> Tools --> Lock Device. Than you can drag it around your screen anywhere you like! There is also a soft reset in there which I have placed on a tab I only use for my phone tools. (Please hit thanks if this helped you out!)

Re: SPB Mobile shell 3.5

Dudes (WayCoolKennel and Mahalo),

I swear to you... I am not mentally lacking under normal circumstances.... but damn it! I looked at that list 40 times and never noticed that picture of a frickin lock! I looked and found the deal where you set it up to lock with a password, but I did not want that... when I followed your steps above and my mind finally accepted to see that picture of a padlock..... I was humiliated!

Thank you! Problem solved. Now I LOVE Mobile Shell!!!!
