Change Associated Programs for Quicklaunch Tab Icons

Is there a way to change the programs that are associated with the tabs in the slider at the bottom of the home/today screen? For instance, I use Nitrogen to listen to music. Is there a way to get Nitrogen to open up instead of the default music program when I slide to the Music Icon? Another instance is that I would like for All Contacts to come up instead of My Favorites when I slide to the My Favorites tab.
