Windows 7 and HTC Sync

I updated my compter to windows 7 last night, but now when I got to reinstall HTC sync, I get an error when installing drivers. apparently it wouldn't or can't find the abd driver that is required during install. Now when I go to sync, the phone doesn't recongize the software is unable to sync. I'm using the latest HTC Sync version 2.0.5.

Does anyone know of a fix?

Re: Windows 7 and HTC Sync

Try using Compatibility mode... Right click on the Sync icon on your desktop > Properties. Here there should be a Compatibility tab > check mark RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR and Chose XP SERVICE PACK 3.

"OK" your way back to the desktop and try running it again. My above directions may be a little off, as I am my Win7 boxes are at home... and I am not.

Re: Windows 7 and HTC Sync

Not sure if you've figured it out yet, but I had this same problem just now and found this solution worked for me:
