Wake on SMS

Hi, is there a way to get the phone to wake when getting a text message or MMS? I miss so many messages when my phone is on vibrate and sitting right next to me on my desk since I cant see it turn on if I get a message.

I believe Handcent SMS app has a setting to wake the screen.

Either use handcent, or in the messaging app mess around with the settings.
