Faulty USB Charging Port

Just curious if this has happened to anyone.

When the EVO is plugged in, the light comes on saying it's charging. Even the little charging logo appears in the upper right hand corner, BUT the battery percentage slowly drops. I've been having to swap batteries out using an external charger in the meantime.

I inspected the USB port and it seems like a small(tiny) bit of the protruding piece of plastic inside has cracked off (very tiny piece if any at all)

It just doesn't make sense that the charging light and charging icon appear. Might be taking the EVO in for a trip to the sprint store.

Any advice?

Now to unroot and flash a stock ROM....

Re: Faulty USB Charging Port

Yea, strangely enough I can actually transfer files from my laptop to the EVO. I'm at a loss for whats causing this. Just gonna send it back and get a new one. Hopefully I don't have the problem on that one.

Thanks
