Issues Flashing Custom roms

For some reason i havent been able to flash Custom Roms as of lately. Ive been able to before so im not quite sure whats different now. Either New Rom get stuck at the boot screen after "supposedly" a successful flash, or the installation is aborted in recovery. Is it something with my sd card? do i need to start from scratch, try flashing a RUU and re-root? Ive been using Rom Manager and have done most of my flashing thruough that app, using clockwork mod recovery as well. Im currently running Myn's Warm ROM RLS5.
Maybe there is a step im missing because i am also having issues placing .zip files on the root of the sd card, because they are not showing up in recovery and it seems the only way i can "try" to flash ROM's is through the :"install zip from sd card" option in rom manager. Appreciate any help guys. Thanks in advance.

did you update recovery?
and you still show s-off at hboot?

switch to ra amon recovery and give it a try

i feel retarded. Cant believe it was something that simple. Thanks for your help my friend. i thought all the scrutiny against clockwork recovery was unwarranted, and i've never had a problem with it before. Now i'll never use it again. lol. Flashed Myn's Warm Z 2.2 ROM. Working great now.
