Trouble updating evo

I've been trying to update a rooted EVO with clockworkmod on it to 2.2 using the pc36img created by chris1683. I placed the file onto the root of the SD and booted the phone, it says checking or loading pc36img but then does not update.

Same procedure on a different EVO went smoothly.

Suggestions?

Use the stand alone one and update in recovery.

Re: Trouble updating evo

That is Sprint Lover's and should load fine. Make sure you have the case right in the image name. It is case sensitive. Also, don't unzip and rezip. Android is real sensitive about compression formats.

Re: Trouble updating evo

So I installed Sprint Lover's and it went just fine . My only question now is - how to I install the updates and such? I've downloaded the file but am unsure as to how to go about installing it. Thanks!

Re: Trouble updating evo

I'm confused, what updates?? Or are you talking about the radio, basebands, and PRI. If thats the case, then the file you update is a zip file with all 3 inside it. Unzip the main file and then place the 3 .zip files on your sd card in the root directory. Then go into recovery and install each one, rebooting between each install.

I'm with cruise on this. If your phone is rooted with clockwork why try to update it again? Unrevoked site said that you only need to do it once unless you get one of the newer evos that requires the newer clockwork. I'm trying to understand why you need the latest clockwork. Maybe I'm missing something

Re: Trouble updating evo

If you have the latest Sprint Lover's, you are on the latest everything (except PRL maybe)

And you should dump Clockwork and get on AMON RA. Then you will be cooking with gas.

Re: Trouble updating evo

Well, put AMON on the top of your to-do list.
