evo battery drain fix

I have task killer and it works wonders but I also noticed the GPS on. This thing eats up battery life, so I turned the GPS off on my phone and the wife's phone and we get great battery life now. You guys might try it and only use it when you need it

Re: evo battery drain fix

I think people are just commenting like this because turning off GPS is one of the more common fixes that most people try and it has been discussed here a lot at length.

Also because using a task killer hurts your battery life.

Re: evo battery drain fix

One button hack for extended battery life found !!!!!!!!!

1. Power button on/off

Battery life is amazing since I found this hack. It's strange but it works better than any other I have ever seen , just short of actually removing the battery , because that would just be too obvious and too much trouble. I find that by pressing the power button for a steady two seconds or so I have a display option that comes up that asks me I would like to power down phone?" Well, ever since I have been doing it , and then just turning on the phone when I want to use it for something, my battery life is out to like a week or more. Can you believe it? OP, You should really give this one a try and see if it works much better than turning just gps off? Thanks , let me know it works for ya
