Any luck with the PRI updates

A friend at work has a unrooted phone and in both 3g and 4g, his phone is consierably faster (15 to 25%)... anyway, I have even tried loosing root, unrooting the phone, flashing the stock and so on but could never get 1.4 back. I am afraid we'll be stuck with it for a very very long time...

But I still have hope...

Well it looks like 1.34 we are stuck at... Tried a lot of things but its not worth possibly messing up my phone... So i'll just be happy... Thanks guys for the response's

If you aren't afraid (lol) to try Unrevoked3, it allows you to keep 1.4, that's what mine is.

True, but if you never rooted and still have PRI 1.4 you can keep it and not loose and still root!!!
People have used unrevoked 3.1, then udated with a custom rom to 2.2 and been able to keep PRI 1.4 and one person has even done simple root after this and kept PRI 1.4

u have to already be @ 1.40....once u use a root method that drops PRI to 1.34, there's no going back....for now

the guys @ xda have been working on it, but it sounds like it will require a leak from htc to get what they need.

Would be great if htc and XDA would work together .... I hope someone over at XDA has a friend inside htc
